Ardalanish is featured on the BBC jam website

January 2007

Together with Rolls-Royce, the Eden Project, Google and others, Ardalanish Farm and Weaving Mill is a featured company in Business Studies for 11-16 year olds, part of the BBC's innovative new educational website, BBC jam (www.bbc.co.uk/jam)

In the assignment entitled 'Know Your Market', Ardalanish Farm is the setting for an interactive look at market research and launching a new product. In the course of the activity learners can explore the farm and conduct video interviews with members of the Ardalanish team.

The BBC jam website came out of the BBC's commitment to make educational resources available for the National Curriculum. Ardalanish was chosen because it represents an ethical, grassroots approach to business that better reflects the environmental and ethical concerns of today’s young business students.

Update: as a result of complaints made to the European Commission from commercial interests the BBC has decided to suspend the free BBC jam service pending a review.
